Position Summary:

Join our team as the French and German Portfolio Champion, becoming part of a dynamic group of self-driven and solution-oriented professionals. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy at our New York Office, you will take complete ownership of the portfolio. From managing supplier relationships to executing comprehensive marketing plans, this role offers an exciting opportunity for growth and influence in the world of wine and marketing.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Strategy:

  • Oversee the French and German wine portfolio, ensuring its alignment with company long-term goals.
  • Establish brand strategy and identify new opportunities for portfolio expansion.

Brand Planning and Development:

  • Participate in the annual strategic planning process, market dynamics that ensure long-term brand growth.
  • Conduct business reviews and analysis to identify areas of opportunities, competition, and pricing analysis.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies to enhance the visibility and reputation of our French and German wine portfolio.
  • Pilot and support brand performance while working with sales leaders.
  • Support and communicate brand strategies and product information to internal stakeholders.

Supplier Relationships and Winery Visits:

  • Manage daily business needs, serve as primary point of contact for suppliers, scheduling winery visits for clients and VIP.
  • Supervise and coordinate market visits.

Public Relations, Media, and Marketing Campaigns:

  • Assist with trade and consumer communications, including Public Relations efforts.
  • Cultivate an online presence through social media and event listings.
  • Participate in wine tasting meetings to guide wine strategies.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and events to drive brand awareness and sales.

Budget Management, Education and Training:

  • Manage brand budgets effectively, ensuring key strategies are executed within budget.
  • Develop educational tools and resources; train and support the sales organization.
  • Occasional work in the market.

Qualifications:

  • College degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or other related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the wine industry.
  • MUST BE FLUENT IN FRENCH.

Critical skills:

  • Genuine passion for wine and the wine/beverage industry.
  • Effective communicator and excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and multitask.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude exhibiting team player and leadership qualities.
  • Takes initiative and possesses entrepreneurial drive for success.
  • Must possess a high level of integrity, self-confidence, excellent ability to build relationships.
  • Creative with a winning attitude, and the selling ability of telling a story and influencing.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range (based on experience) $80K – $120K
  • Full-Time, in office (with hybrid potential)
  • Health, dental, vision, 401k, etc.
