Job Description

• 6 to 9 years of overall testing experience with an extensive experience in SQL Testing project.
• Experience in creating data verification test plans and test cases based on the functional and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to write simple to complex SQL queries and knowledge on stored procedures for issues identification if any.
• Strong understanding of the OLTP, OLAP, ETL, Business Intelligence, data modelling, structured and unstructured database concepts.
• Experience in data profiling, data cleansing and data migration activities.
• Experience in business analysis, source system data analysis, architecture reviews, data validation, data testing with a strong knowledge of QA processes.
• Experience to work on any of the SQL databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.,
• Nice to have experience in performance fine tuning of SQL queries and stored procedures. Nice to have experience in Python and / or Databricks.
• Defects tracking and management using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla etc.,
• Ability to work independently, dispute the status quo with a commitment to high quality outcome.
• Establish strong relationship with business and technical teams to deliver the high quality product all the time and assist the business users during UAT.

Primary Skills

• As a Data Test Engineer, you will be responsible for validating data sources, extracting data applications of transformation logic and uploading data in target tables.
• You will be responsible for designing, testing, and troubleshooting the clients.
• Data storage system before it goes live.
• You must have strong technical capabilities and good knowledge of the coding languages commonly used in ETL development, such as Python, SQL and Data warehousing Concepts.
