Department / project description:

The Global Delivery division is responsible for onboarding all new clients onto the client SaaS platform. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will work on a variety of client implementations to provide domain expertise in investment accounting, financial markets, and German regulatory reporting / Accounting. You will be an integral part of a collaborative division spanning Analysts, Team Leads and Program Managers.

Your daily tasks:

• Work closely with Capgemini Clients from Financial Industry being part of a project team responsible for a project in Investments / Reconciliation
• Work in a multinational team responsible for extending existing business functions for the client
• Practice reconciling transactions and holdings of investment portfolios to data received from external portfolio providers, using a state-of-the-art web-based system
• Work with data engineers to automate reconciliation processes, aiming at >80% automation
• Build productive internal/external working relationships by communicating proactively

Our expectations:

• Bachelor's degree in a finance-related and analytical field
• Fluency in English and strong French or German language skills
• Knowledge of the financial instruments
• Finance and/or accounting experience
• Proactive looking for problem solutions in company resources and teammates
• Self-learning ability
• Dynamic problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Accounting: Basic understanding of investment accounting, financial statements, amortization, interest income, and other accounting Cert concepts
• Finance: Basic understanding of the Time Value of Money, duration, yield, returns, and risk exposures
• Asset Classes: Basic understanding of vanilla fixed income and equity investments and deepening knowledge of various security types and/or alternative security types. Developing an understanding of the security types commonly held by the clients they are assigned
• Securities or financial markets experience (good to have)
• Advanced knowledge of Excel such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, and Ribbon Utilization
