\nA position in the Import Department has become available at DSV Road Ltd, Immingham. The successful candidate must be self-driven, have excellent attention to detail, with a positive mindset and a clear focus on high job quality.
\n\nThe successful candidate, who will be reporting to the department supervisor will be dealing with import shipments from Scandinavia.
\n\n\n\n
The applicant must be well organized, punctual and expected to work in a fast paced environment.
\n\n\n\n
We are looking for a person who can add extra quality to our already highly skilled team and come up with alternative solutions to challenges and problems whilst at the same time work under pressure.
\n\n\n\n
Main purpose of Role:
\n\nThe person will work as a part of the import team and arrange shipments from Scan to UK. Part of the role will be arranging for UK warehouses to offload trailers, contact customers and book in deliveries.
\n\nThe role will also involve communicating with the local DSV depots across the UK and Scandinavia to ensure deliveries are done in accordance with our customers’ requirements. There will also be a degree of customer services involved.
\n\nBesides this there will be various other ad hoc administrational tasks such as POD handling and following up on customer enquiries/questions, financial admin tasks.
\n\n\n\n
• Communicate effectively in a professional manner with customers to ensure their traffic requirements are fulfilled in line with their booking instructions.
\n\n• Receive bookings from UK importers either via our online booking platform or by e-mail
\n\n• Contact delivery UK places to book in deliveries
\n\n• Instructing UK Warehouse and Distribution teams for loading/offloading of cargo to vehicles using our Transport Management System.
\n\n• Liaise with other DSV offices in the UK and abroad, reporting any discrepancies or specific requirements.
\n\n• Liaise with internal Customs Clearance team
\n\n• Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment. Ensure you remain legislatively compliant in all areas.
\n\n• Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. invoicing; filing, queries, claims, POD handling
\n\n• Communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external customers, suppliers, and other offices, as required by operational procedures
