We are now looking to expand our team with a Credit manager for our Dubai office. The Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing the credit management of the organization and the management of the credit control team.
Reporting Line:
Report to: Vice President, Finance
Role: Credit Manager
Direct subordinates: Yes
Responsibilities:
- Manages the credit management function and overseeing the credit control function.
- Leads and motivates the credit team to achieve collections targets.
- Oversees the effective collection of company debt.
- Monthly reporting of the Key Performance Indicators for the department.
- Manages relationships with the clients to reduce exposure to potential bad debt.
- Implements and maintains of a set of comprehensive Credit Risk Policies and Procedures.
- Introduces and evolves effective reporting and assessment tools to minimize risk and proactively identify problem areas and customers.
- Prepares monthly cash forecasts including customer collections.
- Reports to the Vice President, Finance on a weekly basis on outstanding accounts to meet business requirements
- Review and report on Aged Debtors
- Lead regular AR review meeting with both internal cross-function teams and external clients
- Regularly review the process and procedures to reduce debtor days (DSO)
- Lead conversation with clients on AR dispute items and coordinate with internal teams to resolve AR issues in time.
- Manage the KPIs with respect to collections, DSO, Overdue AR, etc.
- Manage the key stakeholders within the Operations and Business teams as well as establish credible contacts with the clients
- Look for ways to improve debt collection processes
Qualifications & Characteristics:
- 5 to 8 years in a similar role in a multinational organization
- Master’s in finance, CPA/ CA /MBA
- Commercial and business strategic skills
- Good understanding of balance sheet analysis, credit risk, financial exposure and setting credit limits.
- Negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Advance MS user
- Product knowledge of Supply Chain (warehousing, freight forwarding, distribution)
- Project Management skills
- Process Mapping orientation
