Summary
The purpose of the Quality Assurance Assistant role is to support the Manager of Implementation and Procurement to drive and improve quality within the DSV Projects Branch in accordance with ISO standards.

DSV performs project management and transportation services to various industries including Oil & Gas, Mining, Energy and Renewables. We are looking for a Quality Administrator to join DSV’s Project Branch working out of the Portland Office.
The DSV Projects Branch provides the greater DSV network with specialized, tailor-made solutions for the most ambitious energy, industrial and capital infrastructure projects that are oversized, high value and time critical.
Duties and Responsibilities
General
- Monitor and support the achievement of the Global Quality, Implementation, and Procurement objectives & targets.
- Work effectively with all departments, including HSE, Procurement, and Operations.
- Ensure the adherence to the global corrective and preventive action standards as well as being actively involved in the root cause analysis and agreement of corrective and preventive actions for severe and reoccurring incidents, audit findings, KPI deviations etc.
- Participate in external/internal audits against ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001.
- Organize and execute training and make training material available.
- Ensure all risks & opportunities are identified within the Quality function.
- Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those connected with Quality and Vendor Management.
- Oversee and manage documentation from multiple projects and management meetings ensuring that they meet ISO standards.
- Participate in regular Quality, Implementation and Procurement calls.
- Set and communicate KPIs with the DSV Projects Team, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ensure legislation compliance evaluations are completed at least annually.
- Drive Quality campaigns to improve team output.
- Ensure the implementation and maintenance of the QHSE Management System.
- Log and track documents for the branch in accordance with ISO standards.
- Register non-conformities, employee training, job descriptions and organization charts in accordance with ISO standards.
- Implement corrective actions and complete effectiveness checks for Quality non-conformities.
Support
- Risk assessments and monitor progress of measures to mitigate risks and control Environmental exposure to a tolerable level. Report it to the Business Unit Manager.
- Support Emergency Action Plan review and Business Continuity Plan walkthroughs
- Accident and near miss investigations
- Collection of QHSE and Supplier Statistics on a regular basis and report to upper management.
- Facilitate QHSE Committee Meetings, where applicable.
Educational background / Work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the transportation and logistics industry.
- Network and relationship building with the ability to influence others
- Administrative skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and intercultural skills
- Ability to prioritize, plan, assign, and control
- Skills to generate reports, presentations and other documentation using Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Capacity to work in a highly flexible and agile manner to manage competing priorities.
- Analyze complex situations and make effective decisions
- Be able to travel domestically if required (Less than 10%)
Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes
- Knowledge of QHSE standards, SOP development, and project implementation
Knowledge of Supplier Qualification processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Professional certification in quality management, such as Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma
Educational background/Work Experience
- Transportation / Quality experience (minimum 3 year)
Language skills
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
- Profound skills of MS Office tools (Team, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic knowledge on computerized systems IT architecture
