MID-LEVEL TORT DEFENSE ASSOCIATE

We are a full-service law firm headquartered in the heart of Manhattan's Financial District specializing in litigation and commercial transactions. Opportunity for litigation attorney admitted in New York with 4-6 years’ experience handling the defense of personal injury cases and civil litigation defense. Candidates must have experience including drafting and responding to pleadings and discovery, drafting and responding to motions, reviewing and analyzing medical records, and preparation for court appearances. Writing skills are key.

Responsibilities:

• Draft pleadings
• Draft motions
• Prepare discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Work with experts
• Legal research
• Factual investigation of cases, including inspections
• Participate in oral arguments before the court
• Assist in formulating case strategies

Required Experience:

Must have a minimum of 4 – 6 years of litigation experience.
