Exciting opportunity here at JPMorgan Chase to be in an unique role where you will build financial infrastructure, financial agreements, and actual booking model from the ground up to enable senior leadership to make informed strategic decisions that shape the business.

As a Private Client Product Controller, Vice President within Consumer and Community Banking- Business and Wealth Management, you will support the reporting and analysis of the new business model of J.P. Morgan Private Client - which is focused on acquiring and deepening relationships with affluent clients. In this unique role, you will build financial infrastructure, financial agreements, and actual booking model from the ground up to enable senior leadership to make informed strategic decisions that shape the business. J.P. Morgan Private Client. In this role, you will work across lines of business to bring the full breadth of J.P. Morgan Chase to our clients. You will work closely with the J.P. Morgan Private Client finance team, BWM & Home Lending finance teams, Reg W Controllers, SEC & Regulatory Reporting, as well as, Planning & Analysis teams from across the Consumer and Community Bank (CCB) and the Firm.

As a result, of the high connectivity to other groups and rapidly growing operating model, excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential due to the frequent interaction with various business partners to deliver on regulatory changes and integration into the financial ledger. You will provide an in-depth understanding of affluent products offered, including investments, deposits, margin lending, business lending and these customers subsequent impact to financial reporting system. In this role, you will report up through the Banking & Wealth Management line of business.

You will oversee the development of accounting workflows with the integration of J.P. Morgan Private client into the financial ledger. You will drive relationship management with product and tech teams to ensure appropriate posting of actual results, and support documentation of revenue share agreements to support Reg W. Additionally, you will work on various business integration initiatives that involve streamlining processes, building best practices for data analysis and retrieval.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand and drive how business results should post from the general ledger to various financial systems and create ad hoc reporting/analyses as necessary to support the business
  • Establish accounting flows and documented procedures to align with agreed upon booking model for J.P. Morgan Private Client
  • Establish strong relationships across CFO, P&A, Data Product, and other functional teams to provide controller support for the build out of the new J.P. Morgan Private Client business
  • Provide guidance on accounting standards and external reporting requirements by staying current on US GAAP and regulatory rules
  • Stay current on Reg W rules to ensure financial compliance for the business
  • Test Regulatory reporting platform for alignment of results to regulatory submissions
  • Constructively escalate issues and present complex information in a clear and concise manner to Management
  • Provide timeline outlines and project management for new product development

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly, develop a plan, and execute for results
  • Solid problem solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills
  • Ability to summarize large amounts of data, formulate a concise message, and communicate clearly to Management
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Accounting or Finance experience
  • Highly proficient in Excel, SAP, and Hyperion Essbase or Dodeca
  • Alteryx, SQL or Tableau skills
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills
