Job Description

J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) is committed to providing exceptional service to our clients and business partners. Our sales and client service teams, marketing support, and product specialists, are dedicated to the support of our clients and leverage the capabilities of our global firm to deliver to our clients. We provide an integrated approach to client servicing in order to meet the client’s full range of investment and servicing needs. Each new client is assigned to a Client Service team which consists of a Client Advisor, Marketer, Client Account Manager, Portfolio Manager and Investment Specialist.

As an Associate, you will be part of the Global Business Intelligence team which is focused on using data to identify and optimize sales productivity and business development efforts, steer development of marketing strategies, oversees the entire lifecycle from acquisition to analytics to delivery of increased ROI, new business and sales growth. You will work closely with sales management, advisors and the marketing team to steer strategies and foster change management. The aim is to shape distribution strategies through data-driven insights, and to embed these analytical processes into the organization’s decision-making framework to continually improve and evolve the insights delivered to the business

Job responsibilities

  • Analyze AWM distribution / marketing (Institutional, Intermediaries/Funds) industry, competitive and performance landscape to identify trends, patterns, insights to drive business outcomes and facilitate the sales, marketing and investment process via intelligence solutions
  • Support initiative(s) to deliver information and business intelligence strategies across Sales & Marketing groups. Ability to understand key business drivers / questions , translate into structured analysis and providing business insights focusing on increasing our market share, expanding our client outreach, acquisition, deepening our relationships, retention, scale our investments and create business efficiencies
  • Perform analysis on key business trends from different perspectives and package the insights into easily consumable presentations and documents e.g. Territory management / scorecards, client book prioritization, market scoping, prospecting and lead generations, evaluation of investment offering and competitiveness, identify deepening opportunities and retentions, etc.
  • Work with technology teams to create a center of excellence around visualization strategies, Design and implement solutions including executive reports, dashboards and data quality tools - Standard Reporting and Ad hoc support responsibilities across the business channels, product and management
  • Develop a strong understanding of different data sources, identify gaps in data quality / accuracy and eventually setting to continuously improve the data across platform. Provide expertise of application, e.g., understanding of functionality, capabilities and limitations. Provide support for reporting issues
  • Coordinate and work primarily with the Distribution teams and their partners (Client Service, Marketing, Product, Finance and Technology) to help facilitate the sales process. Foster a data-driven, innovative culture

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Understanding of Investment Management Business, Mutual Funds, Managed Accounts, and/or Separate Accounts
  • MBA or advanced degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering or other quantitative-focused field preferred
  • Strong visualization capabilities and experience with BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, etc). Experience in a data visualization, product analytics and/or product growth/optimization role focused on digital experiences (mobile, web, video, commerce/subscription)
  • Experience using enterprise scheduling / reporting tools (Business Objects is a plus)
  • Technical expertise in data mining (SQL, Python, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct data analysis, actionable insights, and work directly with product and business owners to implement and measure recommended actions
