Job Overview:

Seeking a seasoned Cloud Engineering Manager for LPL’s Delivery Engineering organization. This individual will possess both strong managerial aptitude as well as technical expertise and engineering skill in the area of Cloud Computing, which allows them to manage a team of subject matter experts for both Investor and Advisor themed technology as well as a lead for enabling Cloud-based solutions. This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment, assist in identifying requirements and facilitate implementations while following appropriate change control and release processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 5-10 Cloud Engineers

  • Facilitate the implementation of current and future LPL products that require a thorough knowledge of the technologies and capabilities of the platform.

  • Collaborate with the Automation team to continuously streamline Solution Orchestration and Configuration

  • Collaborate with Project Managers around project tasks

  • Assists with coordinating changes across multiple systems

  • Contributes to policies, procedures, and standards

  • Recommends changes/enhancements for improved systems availability, reliability, and performance.

  • Participates in the creation and maintenance of metrics around the system and institutes a process for continuous improvement.

  • Participate in application roadmap planning with stakeholders, application teams and engineering groups

  • Develop and maintain design documentation standards/templates.

  • Develop and maintain engineering process documentation standards/templates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate or 8-10 years of equivalent work experience

  • 5+ Years managing Cloud Engineers, preferably AWS Cloud Engineers

  • 5+ Years of Experience Managing MS Windows and/or Linux Environments

  • Experience with Terraform and scripting (Python, PowerShell, YAML, etc.)

  • Experience with Kubernetes

Preferences:

  • 5+ Years of Experience Understanding of System/Service Monitoring

  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle

  • Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodology

  • Software Development Experience

  • Understanding of Identity Management, Network protocols, Firewall Rule Management, and Network Security Best Practices

Pay Range:

$120,600-$180,900/year


Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
