Job Overview:

We are looking for a Software Developer/Tech Lead who will be part of the Technology organization that is responsible for providing solutions for advisors and the home office

Responsibilities:

  • As a Tech Lead, guide the team’s development efforts towards successful project delivery and application support

  • Design, develop, test and implement technical solutions based on business requirements and strategic direction

  • Design, develop, test and implement technical solutions based on premise and on AWS in a Containerized / MicroServices Architecture

  • Provide technical leadership to teammates through technical design, code reviews and implementation of best practices, adhering to LPL’s SDLC and RM processes.

  • Collaborate with other Development teams, Enterprise Architecture and Support teams to design, develop, test and maintain the various platforms and their integration with other systems.

  • Assess opportunities for application and process improvements and prepare documentation outlining platform road map.

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and enhance existing systems.

  • Communicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product/project support

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Lead capacity, guiding the team’s development efforts towards successful project delivery and application support

  • 10+ years of experience in hands-on design and implementation of complex systems, including data and reporting.

  • 5+ years of experience integrating with third-party systems through building API gateways, creating SOAP and REST based service interfaces to deliver fast, reliable and scalable integration.

  • 5+ years of experience with AWS end-to-end cloud development, deployment, fine-tuning for scalability and performance.

  • 5+ years of experience with full stack business and integration/data tier and reporting development experience with .Net Core (utilizing C# & SQL Server).

Core Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical

  • Strong estimation, foresight, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to interface with customers to gather business needs and to present solutions

  • Capable of effectively planning, prioritizing and executing tasks utilizing resources and tools

  • Experience working with remote teams and contingent workers/SOW

  • Experience using Agile & Waterfall methodologies

Preferences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

  • Object Oriented Programming and SOLID design experience

  • Experience using modern application/API containerization and container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Nginx etc.

  • Cloud experience (AWS or Azure)

  • Reporting and Data experience are very much preferred


Pay Range:

$132,160-$198,240/year


Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
