Job Overview:

This is a position for a Middleware Engineer with a focus on Datapower Development and Administration.

As a member of the Middleware Engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Datapower appliances, integrations, security and processes. This includes collaboration with senior engineers, business partners, technology architects, quality assurance teams and release management to plan, design, develop and implement solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience on DataPower security aspects using AAA, Internal Security Enforcement, Kerberos, oAuth, SAML, JWT, Encryption and Decryption, Digital Certs, JSON Security and WS-Security etc.

  • Initialize the new appliances and configure them to network, link aggregation etc.

  • Manage and Support of DataPower appliances for all environments along with firmware and license upgrades.

  • Good Knowledge on DataPower Ops Dashboard report creation, troubleshooting, setting up the DPOD server and monitoring the DataPower appliances.

  • Good amount of knowledge on SSL Certs installation and deployment automations of certs along with Password Map Alias.

  • Good amount of debugging, performance tuning and troubleshoot skills on the Services/APIs/Administration.

  • Troubleshoot message translation related issues while communicating with backend (JSON to SOAP / SOAP to JSON).

  • Expertise in WSDL, XML, XSLT, JSON, XPATH and Gateway scripts.

  • DevOps Automation using Octopus, Team City, Ansible of DataPower deployments and firmware upgrades.

  • Good amount of knowledge on SOMA and CLI automations.

  • Main the appropriate task lists, documents, design and other artifacts in support of the APIs.

  • Provide front line support for DataPower related problems by being involved in troubleshooting, root cause analysis and appropriate secure integration recommendations.

  • Execute Disaster Recovery procedures.

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in Configure, Design, Development, Administration and maintenance of DataPower(IDG/X2) appliances.

  • 5+ years of experience on DataPower API Orchestration/Mediation/Protocol Bindings and transformation knowledge on disparate message structures.

  • 3+ years of knowledge on integrating DataPower appliances with WMQ and Tibco EMS for Synchronous and Asynchronous secure integrations.

  • 2+ years applying DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code patterns to build automation. Able and ready to learn and support other Middleware technologies in support of Platform Engineering roadmap with DevSecOps, infrastructure-as-code, software defined engineering patterns, and use of GitHub or comparable code repository.

  • 2+ years of experience in Containers and Kubernetes and deployment of DataPower in Containers

Core Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate to internal and external business partners on solution design and architecture.

  • Working knowledge of Windows/Linux OS. Must be able to use Linux commands and tools to troubleshoot issues, parse and evaluate log files

  • Knowledge of application architecture best practices, SDLC and Middleware methodologies

  • Experience creating and managing technical and procedure documents

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience with application profiling using tools such as Dynatrace, VisualVM or Jprofiler

Preferences:

  • Experience at a financial services/technology company or in a regulated industry

  • Experience with AWS implementations

  • Experience with Oracle BI applications, including DAC and OBIEE

  • Experience dealing with SSL certificates, renewals, requests, and conversions into key formats

  • Experience using version control systems like GitHub


Pay Range:

$96,880-$145,320/year


Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
