Job Overview:

The Advisor Technology Consulting team is focused on providing guidance, support and solutions for technology tools that are leveraged by advisors, program managers, and their staff. Our mission is to help practices navigate the world of financial technology. We aim to positively impact practice efficiency, growth and satisfaction with their tech stack. This important hire will focus on helping Advisors with the implementation of technology tools that are essential to the success of their relationships with their clients. This position will initially focus on CRM solutions. Candidates for this role must have a passion for, and interest in, the technology used by firms to support their practices (i.e. CRM, Financial Planning, Performance Reporting, Analytics, etc.). The role will work with various stakeholders, and requires a candidate to be able to execute on the tech needs of clients. Collaboration with external partners, as well as internal business, operations and technology groups, will be critical to ensure the needs of our advisors are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead in the implementation of specific technology (starting with CRM, but potentially including Financial Planning, Performance Reporting, Analytics, Office Efficiency Tools, etc.) for customers that are paying for support. Efforts include:

    • Contribute to, and follow, project plans regarding implementation efforts

    • Configuration of customizations as prescribed by technology consultant and advisor

    • Training of practice in order to be able to leverage tools going forward

    • Leading onboarding efforts when an advisor is first using a CRM

      • External partner management of onboarding action items

      • Internal coordination to make sure that implementation efforts are being executed on

      • Strong communication and expectation setting of deliverables and status to onboarding firms

    • Primary resource for tactical questions during statement-of-work

  • Shadow technology consultants to assist in conversations and learn from their experience; serve in a secondary capacity on project plans for engagements

  • Contribute to broader team initiatives (ideas and execution) as directed by senior team leadership

Requirements:

  • 1-3+ years client facing experience

Core Competencies:

  • Hands-on technology usage, client service, project coordination and/or training experience

  • Ability to learn and become an advanced user of Redtail, Wealthbox and Salesforce. Experience with these systems, especially in an administrative capacity

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to evaluate issues, and provide solutions, or in many cases, responses without defined solutions; data skills

  • Able to multi-task across different projects and client engagements

Preferences:

  • Data management/API experience

  • Experience with LPL Systems (ClientWorks), MoneyGuide, Morningstar, eMoney, RightCapital, Nitrogen (fka Riskalyze), Albridge, Black Diamond and/or Orion

  • Intermediate to Advanced skillset in Excel, with a comfort comparing and analyzing data sets

  • Financial services, Advisor Practice, Broker/Dealer, Financial Custodian and/or FinTech/SaaS Technologies experience


Pay Range:

$56,560-$84,840/year


Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
