Job Overview: As the AVP, Technology Pre-Sales Demonstrator, you’ll work directly with independent advisors and financial institutions that are interested in joining LPL. As the subject-matter expert on LPL’s core technology, you’ll be responsible for demonstrating the value of our platform to prospects and how it can make a positive impact on their business. You’ll play a key role in the sales process and be an instrumental part of the prospect’s buying decision.
Connect directly with prospective advisors using a consultative approach to promote LPL’s core technology, focused on describing the efficiencies within LPL’s core technology platform and explaining the value various solutions will bring to the advisor’s practice.
Deliver compelling technology presentations and demonstrations, both in person and virtually, to prospective advisors throughout the country, and support requests for technology information. This will be your primary focus; an average of four presentations per day should be expected.
Manage a team of technology presenters, including coaching and review of presentation skills and providing training where needed.
Partner with product owners throughout the firm to understand future enhancements to our technology. Champion and communicate these future enhancements to business partners.
Partner directly with our recruiting team to coordinate technology demos. Maintain a centralized mailbox and calendar that are used for requesting and scheduling the demos.
Invite advisors joining LPL to attend weekly training workshops.
Stay up to date on new LPL product features and releases, industry trends, and competitive insights.
Identify opportunities to make improvements in the overall sales process and solution delivery to best meet prospects’ needs.
What are we looking for?

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technology sales role
Exceptional sales skills, with the ability to promote technology specific to the unique needs of the customer
Understanding of LPL’s core technology platform and third-party integrations; knowledge of the broader fintech landscape is a plus
Sound technical expertise, with an ability to communicate technical information and resources in an accessible way to customers of all tech abilities
Exceptional presentation skills incorporating high levels of engagement; proven track record in leading effective tech demos
Clear and accurate communication skills (both verbal and written), as well as an engaging presence that exhibits excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and flexibility
A positive attitude, ability to motivate learners, and establish credibility quickly
Adaptable, having the unique ability to adjust a presentation based on audience knowledge and client type
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience in the financial services industry preferred
