Job Overview:

The Senior Analyst, Alternative Investment Due Diligence is responsible for aiding in the sourcing, review and on-going monitoring of illiquid alternative products for the LPL platform. The role will involve collaboration with multiple internal groups and require strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work within tight deadlines. The senior analyst will contribute to the WMS group’s goals of delivering a highly competitive set of investment solutions.


  • Supporting the initial due diligence and ongoing oversight of approved alternative investment managers available for use by LPL Financial advisors.

  • Support product committee approvals, the creation of product-level and asset-class educational materials, and various special projects. Investment Products supported include non-traded real estate products, business development companies, closed-end/interval funds, private equity, hedge funds, and other similar products.

  • Passion for investing and tireless intellectual curiosity regarding public and private markets and alternative investments of all types. T

  • Take initiative and following through on projects independently as well as work as working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will demonstrate self-motivation, high-energy, tenacity, perseverance, attention to detail, and a passion for investing.

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years experience in the financial services industry, ideally at a broker/dealer

  • 2 years experience working with alternative investments

  • Experience performing due diligence and/or oversight of illiquid alternative investment products

  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 license required (either have or be willing to obtain soon after hiring)

Pay Range:


Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
