The successful candidate will support ongoing business needs as well as adapting to new ones presented by clients in areas including but not limited to: ad hoc reporting, gap analysis for sponsor payouts, tracking and macro level analysis of transitioning books of business, data feed support, process design and optimization, software project development support, and data research and analysis.


  • Serve as an analytics business partner for the Client Compensation Organization by building key relationships and supporting the achievement of the department's priorities and key objectives

  • Interpret client needs into requirements and build business processes through data tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, or SQL

  • Partner with internal and external business units on transmission and ingestion of compensation data feeds

  • Analyze and translate data into key insights that will drive strategic decision making

  • Acquire comprehensive understanding of Compensation and the company’s technologies, products, and structure

  • Manage projects and coordinate across Client Compensation for both internal and external initiatives

  • Interact regularly with user groups to identify and define business requirements; document using LPL standards; Participate in business requirement meetings and document requirements in LPL-standard formats

  • User Story development and analysis for work orders and projects

  • Lead UAT efforts in coordination with our Technology QA Team and in support of control objectives

  • Liaison between business, product and technology teams to ensure User Stories are correctly captured in technology documentation


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or similar

  • 3+ years in the brokerage and financial services industry

  • FINRA licensing a plus

  • Advanced Excel data analytics skills

  • Experience with Varicent, SQL, Python, or similar

  • Experience with Alteryx, Tableau or other BI software preferred

  • Experience with Lean, Agile, Six Sigma preferred

  • Working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Visio and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work under pressure and strong problem solving skills with a keen attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong customer service skills

Pay Range:


Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
