GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr Supply Planner is responsible for all aspects of customer inventory supply from the flow of inventory and ensuring the fulfillment of customer orders to managing all retailer projects for new product introductions and updates from item set up through delivery to FGX facilities. The Sr. Supply Planner is also responsible for coordinating key Supply Chain related activities with other cross functional departments.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and resolve supply exceptions by expediting purchase orders and re-allocating existing inventory
  • Make purchase decisions based on target inventory levels, order fill rates and demand variables
  • Work closely with Demand Planning to ensure demand plans are up to date and consistent with recent trends or retailer intel
  • Work closely with the Company Distribution Center and Retail Operations teams to ensure target order fill rates are being met for daily customer orders
  • Monitor receipts and transfers in order to ensure the timely delivery and availability of product in addition to the department’s inventory plan
  • Manage new program introductions from purchase through receipt to meet customer specifications
  • Constant dialog with commercial team on projects key dates and other milestones
  • Prioritize and coordinate with the distribution center on all inbound freight and inventory transfers needed for replenishment with the distribution center
  • Lead key ad hoc Supply Chain projects beyond specific account responsibilities
  • Compile and publish inventory reports to SCM management team
  • Partner with the commercial team and sku reduction manager on update plans to minimize E&O creation and maximize inactive consumption
  • Identify inefficiencies and create process improvement where necessary
  • Lead process documentation and training of new employees
  • Assist with compiling and reviewing data for S&OP process, internal forecast meetings and customer meetings

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2 – 5 years’ experience in a business setting
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to interact with internal and external customers across all levels of an organization
  • Proficient with MS Office programs with intermediate Excel knowledge
  • Fluent English (both spoken and written), other language is a plus
  • Strong analytical and business partnering skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Autonomous, with strong ability to work effectively in multi-cultural, geographically dispersed, virtual teams.
  • Influencing skills and project management experience in a matrix and complex organization, covering multi-region scope
  • Perseverance - Pursues everything with energy, drive, and a need to finish
  • Time Management - Uses his/her time effectively and efficiently; can attend to a broader range of activities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong leadership skills- ability to lead others on supply planning team as well as take the lead on projects that require collaboration across multiple departments
  • Drive resolution of issues- demonstrates the ability to and understanding of how to best resolve open issues in a way that has minimal interruption to the business

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
