ESSILORLUXOTTICA is the worldwide leading company in the prescription lens markets as well as in the frame markets.
The Calculation Application Support VIE will report to the Rx IT Calculation Support Manager based in Lat Krabang - Bangkok, operating under his leadership for the day-to-day operational activities. The team is split between Bangkok and Manila in the Philippines.
Management team of the project is located in France and the support VIE will often be in contact with them.
Software enhancements are not under the Thailand team responsibilities, but into another ESSILORLUXOTTICA’s department based in India.
Roles & Responsibilities:
As part of his mission, the candidate will have as objective to reinforce the current Support team.
This team is currently in charge of Worldwide Calculation platforms used by the whole entities of EssilorLuxottica group to validate their orders for lenses and then to insure their production.
The main activities of the team are to manage the deployments, to validate the new versions and to answer to all customer requests / incidents.
The candidate will have to work in a multicultural environment as a part of the team is located in Bangkok - Thailand but the other part is in the Philippines. Over more, he will have to work constantly with projects / development teams in France and India.
He will have to focus on the follow-up and the improvement of the support process by participating for example in the CMMI implementation but also to the definition and follow-up of KPIs that will insure the stability of our platforms. Finally he will participate to the definition of our testing strategy done by the team.
A big challenge will be to work with our partners to clarify / insure our support process as well as improving the overall performances for our calculators.
While being integrated in the team, the candidate will have the opportunity to work with customers all around the globe and will be placed at the heart of the production of prescription lenses. English language is then essential in the context of this mission.
From a technical standpoint, the candidate could have worked with network / infrastructure/ DBA teams but also with developers.
The necessary training will be given to the candidate but a technical background (such as knowledge in SQL Server and / or AWS) would be an advantage for an easier assimilation inside the team.
Candidate Profile :
- Graduated with a Master Degree in IT or equivalent
- 1 or 2 years experience in a IT support function
- Fluent English is essential (all communication will be in English), French is an asset
- Strong appetency for IT application and client support
