About the role:
Within the Group Lens Innovation Department, the Product and Process Engineer is both a technical resource and a versioning correspondent.
As a technical resource, he/she will manage a diversity of projects, across different zones and organisations (MP and Rx) through studies, technical support, training in order to create or update product and process,
As a versioning correspondent, he/she will be the privileged and direct contact with the suppliers to manage new machines, obsolescence and updates to be in compliance with EssilorLuxottica’s policies on productivity, cost, safety and sustainability. He/she will be the responsible to maintain equipment standard in the department.
Role will be focus on a dedicated Tinting technology.
Key role accountabilities:
As a technical resource, your main missions are :
- Following the phase & gate approach, he is able to manage technical projects
- Develop and validate new Process/Product starting from market input or proposing new one
- Improve existing Process/Product in order to have competitive advantage in terms of costs, quality and service
- Find solutions of materials and technologies also scouting from any other business applications or field
- Provide technical support in production (Mass Production and Rx)
- Contribute and support EHS policy and HMC mid and long term vision
As the versionning correspondent, he/she will define relevant updates of the existing equipment and ensure the validation of the expected configuration of new machines aligned with EssilorLuxottica policy and global strategy :
- Define the new generation of equipment in order to have a consistent equipment policy
- Manage equipment updates to maintain a standard
- Follow manufacturing quality and consistency
- Work closely with the supplier to promote innovation
- Coordinate the technical topics Portfolio with the suppliers and track regularly its progress
Your profile:
- Equipment Engineering degree, ideally with significant experience in Tinting equipment or equivalent
- Relevant experience in an international environment
- Chemical process and / or materials engineering knowledge
- Technical backround to understand the equipment (no need of expert level)
- Project management experience
- Fluent English
- Communication & cooperation skills
- Positive mindset
- Agile, adaptable, and willing to learn person
- Ability to influence others and communicate at all levels
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Autonomy in work and the ability to mentor
- French would be a plus
