GENERAL FUNCTION
The Equipment Leader is the EssilorLuxottica OneSight Foundation’s subject matter expert in all things equipment in North America. Their primary duties are to maintain all North America clinic equipment, including lab equipment and instruments, as well as, all POD configurations and mobile equipment to satisfactory working conditions. As an integral part of the supply chain process, this role supports the fulfillment team with distribution center duties as assigned. In conjunction, the Equipment Leader will support logistics (or transport) of the OSELF vehicles to clinics across North America as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads troubleshooting for all North America equipment assets
- Partners with RxO Equipment team for Lab & OD equipment repair (at ROC, as well as, equipment outsourcing) outside of basic repairs, functionality testing, calibration, cleaning
- Leads maintenance, prepping and ordering of supplies associated with the equipment, all while maintaining proper inventory levels (Equipment inventory files & plan-o-grams)
- Follows manufacturer, EssilorLuxottica and OSELF recommended preventive maintenance schedules
- Communicates effectively and in a timely manner with OSELF team members to help solve any issues found while equipment is in the field
- Develops proper training and skill development for volunteers and team members.
- Ensures configuration (i.e. POD and vehicle) contents align with Programming needs
- Partners with Logistics, Distribution & Mobile Assets Team on equipment paperwork for shipping (accurate equipment, quantities, etc.) and ensures shipping deadlines are met
- Meets and communicates regularly with OSELF North America team to keep informed of changes and/or possible delays
- Supports the logistics (or transport) of the OSELF vehicles to clinics across North America and plays the vital role of Manufacturing Lead on clinic
- Supports testing new technology and modifies equipment to support new technology
- Follows all proper forklift operations and maintains forklift records including but not limited to safety updates and maintenance schedules
- Complies with all safety regulations; maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Other tasks as assigned by EssilorLuxottica Logistics, Distribution & Mobile Assets Team
- Support integration of OSELF processes including, but not limited to global equipment troubleshooting and support.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years experience working with ophthalmic lab equipment and instruments
- Active Class B CDL required or the ability to obtain with a clean driving record
- Operate a stand up fork truck
- Self-Starter, problem solver and the ability to work with minimal supervision is necessary
- Solid computer experience working with Microsoft
- Valid US passport required
