Job Title: Senior Associate, Corporate Finance

Location: New York, NY

Offered Wage: $174,499.78/year

 

Duties: Researches new quantitative modeling methods for stochastic modeling of assets and liabilities with embedded optionality and strategies to hedge insurance products. Serves as the Developer for the company’s proprietary asset projection system to build new modeling capabilities. Provides quantitative modeling and data support to a variety of the company’s Asset Liability Management initiatives. Interfaces closely with Actuaries and Investment Accounting to explain investment results and concerning the application of asset modeling. Maintains investment performance allocation models using proprietary methodologies. Develops management reports and explains investment analytics to business units Actuaries and Controllers. Interfaces closely with sector specialists, Investment Accounting, Asset Data, and research teams to expand the company’s asset modeling capabilities. Maintains technical documentation and strengthens internal control of the company’s investment model.

 

Education & Experience Requirements:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Economics or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a Financial Analyst or experience analyzing financial data, financial instruments, and capital markets for insurance or retirement products.

Or, alternatively:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Economics or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Financial Analyst or experience analyzing financial data, financial instruments, and capital markets for insurance or retirement products.

 

Required Skills:

Experience must include 2 years in each of the following skills:

  1. Performing object-oriented programming leveraging Python and C++ programming languages;
  2. Building asset projection models leveraging knowledge of multiple asset derivative classes, including covering equity, fixed income, foreign exchange and inflation products, and knowledge of stochastic calculus, probability theory, and statistics;
  3. Performing quantitative research to build stochastic volatility models for insurance pricing and hedging business; and,
  4. Developing liability valuation models and building and maintaining derivative valuation and stochastic scenario simulation capabilities in support of asset and liability management (ALM) and insurance products risk management.
