NYL Investors LLC, an integrated asset management enterprise with over $250 billion in assets under management, is currently seeking a Investment Operations Analyst to join a team tasked with data support and facilitating report development.  This role requires data management experience, proficiency in the use of technology tools to interrogate large volumes of data across multiple source systems and environments, as well as experience in reporting applications. The individual in this position must also possess core fixed income data knowledge, experience responding to end user inquiries, participate in testing system enhancements and continuous business improvement. This person must be able to liaise effectively with business, operations, and technology and have a desire for a career in investment operations and reporting analysis.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to strategy and business growth initiative within Investment Services; including the implementation of a new data warehouse
  • Collaborate with technology and business partners to assess and troubleshoot issues; giving way to improved processing or new workflow
  • Review issues with management, vendors, business areas, and technology staff
  • Document and clearly communicate business/technical specifications; review with stakeholders and obtain approval for development.
  • Develop and assist in various reporting data analytics initiatives
  • Take an ownership role in data capabilities and ensure sound data governance and development framework

 

Qualifications:

  • BS in Finance or Management Information Systems
  • 3-6 years financial services experience at an insurance company or investment management firm
  • Familiarity and comfort with investment accounting, reporting, and performance concepts; knowledge of fixed income, equity and derivatives required
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Organized and disciplined; self-starter with ability to take ownership of responsibilities and execute to a high standard
  • Exceptional attention to detail with commitment to improving accuracy of data and preventing errors
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities, and a high level of proficiency in Excel, Crystal Reports, Tableau and SQL

Salary range: $65,000-$110,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
