This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The Corporate Vice President, Talent Development, Engagement and Communication is focused on supporting our highest priority resource – our employees. This role oversees Learning and Development area focused on the growth and development of employees. It also has oversight of our Employee Engagement strategy to foster an inclusive environment built on connectedness, trust, and strong relationships. Additionally, this position will ensure our business strategy, financial results, employee events are communicated through various methods and avenues to the Direct employees.

You and your team will help bring our organizational purpose and culture to life. You will continue to build on the momentum and successes of our learning and development and engagement programs. You will manage a team of two direct reports and champion their extended team of employee leaders/volunteers. Succeeding in this role requires excellent collaboration, communication, coaching, and organizational skills.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee the development, design, delivery, and measurement of learning curriculums through a wide range of learning resources for various audiences.
  • Oversee engagement strategy, with focus on continuous improvements and the development of new opportunities aligned with employee needs
  • Provide and oversee communication strategies on key business and employee information through various means
  • Responsible for performance and financial reporting, and budgets
  • Partner with Direct leaders and support feedback loop to identify and develop opportunities to further employee development and engagement programs
  • Champion and optimize employee programs such as The Mentorship Program, Toastmasters Clubs, ERGs and Volunteers for Good Committee, developing and growing next leaders
  • Collaborate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Direct and with home office partners such as Enterprise Learning and Development, HR, and the office of DE&I
  • Manage and coach employees

What you’ll need for the job:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 10+ years of experience in creating, delivering, facilitating, and presenting learning and development solutions.
  • Knowledge of learning measurement and identifying learning needs techniques.
  • Strong writing and verbal skills to convey pertinent business information to various levels of employees
  • Strong leadership skills and managing others
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – articulates a clear understanding of the L&D and Engagement vision and requirements.
  • Skills in instructional design techniques, customizing learning solutions and using learning tools to promote self-development
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, managing, and strategic thinking skills
  • Skills in project management and collaboration, ensuring diverse points of view are represented
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

Salary range: $95,000-$145,000

Overtime eligible: Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes

Sales bonus eligible: No
