New York Life’s primary distribution channel is the career Agency sales force of more than 12,000 agents, operating in virtually every major city in the United States. Every agent is affiliated with one of our General Offices. These offices are operated by Agency management teams responsible for agent and management recruiting, development, and sales. Approximately half our agents operate their businesses out of our General Offices, while the other half maintains independent office locations.

Our General Offices are divided up among four Zones. In addition to our Zone offices, an Agency Home Office team responsible for strategy, finance, administration, standards, training, marketing and communications supports our agents and field managers. The Agency operation also comprises teams charged with growing our business in key market segments, including the middle-income market, the advanced (high-net-worth) market and select cultural markets. Agents sell individual life insurance, individual annuities, and long-term care insurance products, as well as mutual funds.

Role Overview

  • Measure the impact of the Field Productivity Value Stream initiatives and incentives on key leading indicators (KLIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) on a regular basis
  • Partner with internal partners to produce timely, accurate and insightful analysis
  • Engage in special projects, initiatives and other activities, as needed
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand their initiatives and analytical and reporting needs
  • Effectively communicate and document responses to new requests, project updates and questions to our internal business partners
  • Drive continuous improvement to analysis, projections, and capabilities across business teams in terms of processes and analytical framework

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Interprets business challenges, identifies trends and recommends best practices
  • Clear, concise, and analytical written and oral communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication based on the intended audience
  • Ability to multi-task with shifting priorities, with a high degree of urgency under tight deadlines
  • Strong Business Partnering skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with a wide range of teams across the organization.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including expertise in Excel

Salary range: $90,000-$135,000

Overtime eligible: Exempt
