What You Will Do

We are seeking a talented and creative individual to join our team as a Senior Specialist for Talent Brand within Human Resources. In this role, you will be responsible for developing written communications and content that will actively engage and attract talent to Northwestern Mutual. You will play a pivotal role in supporting content development for external campaigns across various channels, such as paid media, social media, digital platforms, email marketing, and third-party content outlets.

How You Will Do It

  • Under the direction of the Assistant Director- Talent Brand, assist in developing and driving marketing strategies to promote Northwestern Mutual as an employer of choice to prospective candidates.
  • Create engaging and informative written content for various channels, including social media, blog posts, emails, website content, and third-party content outlets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including talent acquisition and business partners to understand candidate profiles and develop targeted messaging.
  • Research and analyze industry trends, competitor strategies, and candidate preferences to inform content development.
  • Manage and optimize content distribution across multiple channels, ensuring maximum reach and impact.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and interview employees to gather insights and craft stories that showcase the Northwestern Mutual employee experience.
  • Stay up to date with emerging marketing and communication trends, tools, and platforms to enhance the effectiveness of content strategies.
  • Maintain brand consistency and ensure that all written communications align with Northwestern Mutual's voice, tone, and values.

Bring Your Best! What this role needs:

  • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in marketing/communications, journalism, or related field
  • 3+ years of proven experience/knowledge of marketing and communications, multicultural marketing experience a plus
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and narratives.
  • Excellent storytelling abilities, with an interest in communicating information in an engaging and persuasive manner.
  • Proficiency in applying various marketing channels, including paid media, social media, digital platforms, and email marketing.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think creatively and bring fresh ideas to the table.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
