As the organization continues to be one of the fastest growing offices within the enterprise, we are seeking a motivated Finance Manager for the San Jose Network Office. This is an accelerated career path for an ambitious and hardworking individual looking to advance their career in finance (e.g. Controller, CFO).

Reporting directly to Network Office Managing Partner, the staff accountant is a key person to collaborate with both external and internal teams to complete bi-weekly commission processing, accounts payable processing, monthly accounting cycles, and support leadership in financial planning, production reporting and performance analyses. The ideal candidate must have superb organization skill, exceptional attention to detail, and high ownership of responsibilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Commissions Processing

  • Partner with the home office team to:
  • Process semi-monthly FR commissions and allowance payments
  • Track and provide weekly updates for advisor stipend payments
  • Review/release ACH, address advisor questions, commission escrow and production allowance management
  • Monitor financial representative indebtedness and process collection procedures as necessary
  • Administer financial representative rent recoveries and office usage charges
  • Respond to advisor/leadership questions on commissions, office charges, etc.
  • Track and provide to external accounting team weekly stipends and incentive qualifications

Accounting and Finance Functions

  • FFS proficiency and utilization
  • Manage and Supervise semi-monthly accounts payable – scan approved invoices, entries and payment issuance
  • Manage and review Reconciliation and classification of office credit card charges for accounting entries
  • Review monthly FFS reports and manage entry accuracy and correction process
  • Collaborate with NM team to complete monthly financial reports, i.e. cash flow, budget variance
  • Review and track manual leadership compensation splits and other office cost sharing arrangements
  • Co-lead annual office budgeting and planning and year-end 1099 processing

Staff Payroll Processing & Benefits Administration

In partnership with the home office team,

  • Administer and process payroll activities for office staff
  • Administer and process 401(k) plan deferrals and employer match
  • Maintain annual recordkeeping for 401(k) plan
  • Administer and input all new hires, employee Adds/Changes/Deletes, for payroll, health benefits, retirement plan, etc.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports – including daily sales/production, activity tracking, contest qualifications, program payments, etc.
  • Ad-hoc projects and reporting as needed by leadership

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experiences in accounting and finance
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including formulas and functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, nested IF statements, etc.
  • Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate professionally at all levels
  • High sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Impeccable attention to detail with superb organization skills and ability to multi-task
