The TLM is responsible for the overall volume and gross profit growth for airfreight and ocean freight on the assigned trade lanes (LATAM) between countries in these areas and China and vice versa. This is a full-fledged business development role that will achieve growth in 2 different ways:

  • Direct Sales Activities on the lane
  • Support field Sales Teams in China and Overseas through joint sales visits

While working concentrated on the Business Development of the assigned trade lane, the TLM may as well support the client’s business on other trade lanes.

This role will require frequent business travel within China and to overseas countries.


  • Develop with Product new services to increase volumes and GP.
  • Identify top opportunities (top opportunity = great impact on volumes/GP) to pursue directly or with the Field Sales, Vertical Market teams.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for commercial questions from local sales and overseas branch offices.
  • Promote growth in TEUs for FCL, CBMs for LCL, KGS in AIR, and overall growth in client base and number of shipments.
  • Provide internal services to field sales in the form of marketing campaigns, flyers, pricing, and routing solutions.
  • Prepare and present an action plan and progress report to the Manager regularly.
  • The TLM is ultimately responsible for the route pipeline at the national/area level and for the overall profitability of the lane.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Able to frequent travel domestically and internationally.
