Wilson Elser's Milwaukee office currently seeks an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant.

The Position
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or some college coursework strongly preferred
- Two years administrative experience in a litigation law firm
- Must have prior experience with litigation procedures and processes including e-filing
- Must have advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn additional software applications
- Strong organizational skills required as well as excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organize a large volume of documents by saving to various document management systems following specific naming protocols and using judgment to set up necessary files and sub-files
- Prepare, edit, format and proofread a variety of documents (e.g. correspondence, pleadings, discovery).
- Maintain calendars to track deadlines and status of cases, coordinates and schedules meetings, depositions, conference calls, and sends calendar invites and reminders
- Transcribe dictation
- Coordinate travel arrangements with firm-designated travel agency
- Manage timekeepers' expense reimbursements
- Manage client expense disbursements through software application, including corresponding with client and follow up
- Prepare correspondence to clients regarding monthly invoices for fees and disbursements, update internal systems accordingly
- File management including opening new matters and consolidating and organizing files at the close of the matter.
- Serve as backup receptionist
- E-file documents with courts
- Assist timekeepers with administrative tasks related to attorney compliance requirements and professional organizations
- Maintains confidential information in a professional and trustworthy manner
