Wilson Elser’s Washington, D.C. office is currently seeking to hire an Associate Attorney to assist in defending claims, lawsuits and administrative complaints against businesses and professionals. • JD from an ABA accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in Washington, D.C; Maryland or Virginia admission also preferred
• 3+ years of defense litigation experience
• Superior analytical skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Deposition and motion experience preferred
• Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
• Collaborate with other attorneys and partners on defense of cases
• Communicate with clients at each stage of litigation
• Regularly handle court appearances, written discovery, motion practice, and depositions
• Prepare cases for trial
