C.H. Robinson is seeking a skilled Senior Manager of Small & Mid-Size Business Digital Marketing to spearhead innovative digital marketing initiatives for our small and mid-size (SMB) segments. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate proactively with product, business, and technology leaders, leveraging your marketing prowess to bring strategic plans to life. As a key member of our marketing team, you'll lead the planning, development, and execution of SMB-centric digital marketing programs, driving both short-term results and long-term business goals. We're seeking a results-driven individual with robust digital and traditional marketing expertise, an entrepreneurial mindset, and an ownership attitude. This position reports to the Vice President, Enterprise Product Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy, guiding SMB experiences across the marketing funnel, including awareness, acquisition, retention, and loyalty
  • Define campaign objectives, strategies, and tactics, encompassing marketing channels, testing plans, metrics, dependencies, timelines, and budget requirements
  • Lead and inspire a talented team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize and implement the strategic mix of SEM, SEO, Online Advertising, marketing database, Email/SMS/Push, Social channels, paid media campaigns, etc. ensuring alignment with Product and Business goals
  • Engage with experts from web, marketing automation, social, analytics, events, and creative teams, as well as external vendors, to ensure seamless execution of initiatives
  • Monitor, measure ROI, and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, providing recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with the Technology team to enhance our marketing technology stack, driving campaign and team productivity
  • Stay ahead by proactively reviewing best practices, trends, and competitive activities, while recommending and implementing scalable changes as appropriate

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years digital marketing leadership experience, e-commerce experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in areas of marketing such as creative, integrated media, content development, website optimization, 1:1 personalized communication (email, SMS, push notifications), display advertising and social media
  • Proficient with Adobe Analytics, web analytic tools, and marketing automation platforms
  • Experience in working cross functionally with a strong ability to influence
  • Experience with A/B testing, personalization, segmentation/targeting and other digital optimization tactics and strategies
  • Ability to ruthlessly prioritize
  • Ability to travel 10-20% domestically
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience and a high school diploma/GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Logistics or SaaS industry experience
  • Proficient in strategic prioritization with a strong focus on efficiency and effectiveness
  • Experience with a startup mentally to build and optimize the marketing engine
  • Current understanding of the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve business goals
  • Meticulous attention to detail; ability to understand the overall business and marketing strategy, translate that into a demand generation strategy and then execute with precision and accuracy
  • Ability to lead and communicate effectiveness of marketing campaigns across the business and provide recommendations for growth
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to seamlessly manage changing and competing priorities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, parallel project deadlines in a cross-functional team environment
