Senior Human Resource Generalist

As a Senior Human Resource Generalist, you will play a crucial role in leading the daily functions of our Human Resources department. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, recruiting, and hiring, employee onboarding, HR program administration, employee relations, disciplinary actions, investigations, compliance, training documentation, continuous improvement, and additional duties as assigned according to team and/or country-specific requirements.

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open Warehouse positions. Collaborate with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings. Your efforts will ensure we build a strong and capable team.
  • Conduct new hire and benefits orientations and administer employee recognition programs, ensuring new employees feel welcomed and valued.
  • Administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development. Your expertise will help maintain a productive and compliant workplace.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Your guidance will foster a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings and terminations, ensuring fairness and compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct investigations related to employee complaints, collaborating with HR Manager and/or Employee Relations on complex and/or serious allegations. Your thoroughness will help resolve issues and maintain trust.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Review policies and practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory training, including safety training, anti-harassment training, and equipment operator exams and certifications.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Your proactive approach will keep our HR practices up-to-date.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to team and/or country-specific requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of human resource generalist experience
  • Ability to work an adjusted/flexible schedule to support Operations on 1st and 2nd shifts
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
  • Regular exposure to non-climate-controlled environments, which may be cold or hot based on location and seasonality
  • Prolonged periods of walking or standing to meet with employees and/or management personnel in various warehouse locations

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all actions
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Ability to quickly learn and use the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems (Workday)
