General Description Of The Role

The role supports the StateTrade Activation Manager and the wider state field team in execution of below-the-line (BTL) activities relating to the On Premise Channel.

The focus is assisting with the optimal delivery of our Brand activations in venue by working closely with our State Trade Activation Managers, and Field Teams. In addition, the role will also have a focus on budget administration, agency interface, and POS management.

Mission/Objectives

  • To win at the point of sale by ensuring superior and unique shopper/consumer experience to boost brand building effectiveness.
  • Support State field teams to ensure activations are delivered in full and on time as per agreements with groups and venues.
  • Making sure our activations are best in class in market. Continual focus in ongoing improvements.
  • Support the growth aspirations on Aperol by playing a pivotal role in increasing our geographic footprint in outer metro and regional areas.

Key Responsibilities And Activities

Activation Excellence

  • Work collaboratively with the State Trade Activation Managers & National and Key Account Team to ensure compiance to activation calendar objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Field Sales teams, supporting the development and implementation of activations in line with agreed activity calendars. Facilitate and work closely with STAM locally to ensure pre planning in readiness for activation timings.
  • Ensure execution standards are delivered in line with Perfect Store and Perfect Venue guidelines.
  • Helping to coordinate post evaluations for each activation, measuring Return on investment on behalf of the On PremiseTrade Activation Team.

Communication

  • Champion the communication of Perfect Store standards, brand plans, and channel activations with the State Field Team.

Administration

  • Helping to create Puchase Orders on behalf of the Trade Activation Team.
  • Supplier payment management through SAP in line with company policy.
  • Efficient use of POS warehousing and logistics to ensure high service levels and budget controls.
  • Regular information posted onto Viva Engage to highlight the activations completed.
  • Plan travel where required to facilitate the activation plans in outer metro and regional areas.

Key Relationships

Internal: State Trade Activation Managers,, Graphic Designer, Brand Managers, National Account Managers (On Premise), State Brand Ambassadors, Channel Marketing Managers, Field Sales Manager, Key Account Managers.

External: Local Agencies, POS Logistics (TCC), Local Storage Sheds.

Experience Required

  • Experience in Category, Brand ,or Customer Management an advantage.
  • Tertiary Education, with Bachelors Degree with relevant subject focus preferred.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,Powerpoint and Teams) essential.
  • Demostated analytical ability, visual merchandising and creative thinking essential.
  • FMCG industry experience highly regarded.

Skills

  • Analytical Skills - The ability to translate Industry, channel, customer, category and brand information into actionable insights for both the Marketing and Sales cross functions.
  • Commercial Acumen - Demonstrating the ability to manage an expense budget is advantageous, providing regular updates and forecasts, as well as finding ways to reduce the "cost of doing business".
  • Communication Skills - The ability to create compeling internal and externeral presentations (written and verbal) to drive field team and customer compliance to Campari's executional standards.
  • Project Management - Ability to coordinate and manage a project timelines.

Functional Competencies

Project Management - The ability to put together required resources, cost, and timelines to execute the proposed activation plan for the Channel. Work hand in hand with the State Trade Activation Manager to manage multiple activations plans seamlessly.

Attention to Detail - Playing a supportive role to the National Trade Activation Managers, it is essential to demonstrate an attention to detail in every aspect of the role. It is expected that there will be many competing priorities, and the ability to prioritise, and manage key stakeholders' expectations is essential. Delivering tasks on time in full is critical to the success of the function in delivering on an ambitious activation calendar.
