We are looking for a data architect to become part of our data integration and design, data governance, data catalog discussions. Based in anywhere in the UK, we are seeking someone who understands data mappings from different systems and is able to Identify main entities from different systems and identify their mandatory fields and key columns and alignment with EDM(enterprise data model). This role will also see you consult BAs while preparing functional specifications documents and create conceptual, logical and physical data models in Erwin.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role

  • Drive and manage the development and maintenance of Data Architecture artifacts aligning to the enterprise architecture standards
  • Implement the right Data management Frameworks and Practices
  • Work with Enterprise-wide Data Transformation Programs and design data flows /architecture designs for Data Management
  • Works closely with business partners, product owners and stakeholders to understand business needs and determines data requirements supporting reporting, analytics, application development and/or integrations, to convert the data requirements and corresponding logical models into physical models
  • Identify and propose data model and data integration improvements
  • Ensures ongoing effective & efficient documentation of data requirements to support the build of logical and physical data models, extraction and transformation pipelines, data stores and reports in-line with business requirements and/or solution documentation
  • Working on multiple data transformation projects, creating master data elements excel files for each domain
  • Understand and meet referential data integrity requirements based on business needs. Develop and/or assist in generating source to target data mapping.
  • Designs and creates logical and physical model designs utilizing best practices and established organization standards, supporting the implementation of the data lake(s), data marts and operational data stores as part of the overall established enterprise data architecture
  • Understand existing environment and landscape and envisage better solutions/ tools for implementing the data governance framework
  • Conceptualize technical implementation, strategize solutions, and evaluate the best suited tool
  • Gather data requirements and implement the right solutions
  • Liaise with business and IT teams to solve the data related challenges

Your skills and experience

  • Hands on experience building enterprise grade data models.
  • Hands on experience with relational modeling, domain modeling, and dimensional modeling
  • Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, Visio, Sparx Enterprise Architect
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis
  • Solid understanding of architecture principles and frameworks
  • Solid understanding of ETL design patterns, methodologies, and tools
  • Solid understanding BI & Data warehouse, Master data management, data profiling, data catalogue and data quality tools
  • Hands-on in designing conceptual, logical, and dimensional data models and flowcharts
  • Experience of working remote teams across geographies
  • Experience on ETL implementations
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working with Agile Methodology

Your security clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.
