Roles and responsibilities:
As a Test Analyst in Transport Analytics, you are responsible for ensuring data accuracy, quality, and integrity within software applications and databases. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive test cases to validate data accuracy, consistency, and completeness and identify any discrepancies or anomalies. The Test Analyst will work closely with data engineers and stakeholders to ensure that data processes align with specified business requirements and objectives. Strong proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and best practices is critical, along with excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute test cases to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within applications and databases.
  • Validate data consistency and completeness across systems.
  • Identify and document data discrepancies and anomalies, collaborating with technical teams to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to define and meet data quality standards.
  • Apply best practices in data quality assurance to improve processes.
  • Contribute to testing strategies for functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Support business and technical teams in data-driven decision-making through effective communication of test results.
Required Skills:
  • Data Quality Assurance: Strong understanding of data quality principles and best practices for ensuring accurate, complete, and reliable data.
  • SQL Proficiency: Expertise in SQL for querying databases, validating data, and conducting detailed data analysis.
  • Testing Methodologies: Knowledge of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Analytical Skills: Sharp analytical skills to identify data discrepancies, trends, and patterns.
  • Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail, essential for detecting subtle issues in data quality.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
