Description

Cozen O'Connor is seeking a full time Legal Talent Coordinator and a full time Legal Talent Specialist to join the recruiting team. The positions will reside in Philadelphia on a hybrid scheduled and will be responsible for firm-wide recruiting efforts and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have law firm experience, preferably with attorney recruiting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the implementation of non-partner lateral recruiting and hiring efforts, including posting advertisements, sourcing candidates, and screening resumes from candidates, placement firms, and referrals
  • Coordinate candidate interview schedules, travel arrangements, hotel reservations, and expense reimbursements
  • Assist in the coordination of pre-arrival and onboarding details for new lawyers, including, but not limited to, stipend and advance payments, orientation programs, and new hire paperwork
  • Responsible for the overall functioning, maintenance, and accuracy of recruitment database (viDesktop) for the entirety of the recruiting process as it relates to lateral hiring:
    • Data entry related to each candidate
    • Manage and update all automated forms and templates
    • Provide technical support and resolve viDesktop issues for the department
    • Provide training to other users as needed
    • Produce appropriate reports
  • Utilize social media platforms as a recruiting campaign tool, including posting positions and sourcing candidates
  • Plan, coordinate, and attend recruiting events as necessary; assist in producing necessary correspondence related to the events; coordinate room bookings, catering, materials, room set up, and finalizing attendance numbers
  • Assist in developing content for lateral attorney recruiting on external web site and ensure site remains current
  • Develop marketing materials for lateral attorney recruiting, in conjunction with the Marketing Department
  • Draft and track fee agreements with external legal recruiters and assist in processing related invoices
  • Draft, track, and publish job advertisements
  • Keep current on industry best practices impacting policy and the recruitment and retention of attorneys by maintaining contact with others in the field (e.g., professional associations and educational groups, and professional development efforts)
  • Produce monthly, year-end, and ad hoc recruiting reports
  • Work on ad hoc projects and completing other operational or administrative duties as required, including assisting law student recruiting and hiring

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Demonstrated level of professionalism and exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate well with lawyers, management, administrators, and support staff
  • Maintain all information in the strictest of confidence; required to use tact and diplomacy when working with others
  • Exemplary attention to detail, ability to balance multiple projects, and strong time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and professional approach, takes accountability for achieving what is expected
  • Ability to anticipate issues, solve problems, initiate actions, handle multiple tasks and projects, and adjust to changing priorities
  • Ability to work well in a team with a positive, “can do” attitude
  • Law firm experience preferred
  • Experience with viDesktop a plus
  • Ability to work extra hours occasionally and some travel may be required
