Job Posting Title: Senior HR Specialist, Driver Recruitment

Summary
This position is part of a HR Shared Services Team with particular focus and support to the Road Transport division. This role will perform Human Resources related duties at the professional level and will be responsible for several major functional areas, such as: staffing, recruitment, selection, HRIS, compliance reporting, benefits, compensation, data analytics, and integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Full cycle recruitment for a variety of positions in high volume Driver positions
  • Develop potential driver leads using cold calling, e-mail, internet recruiting sources, recruiting events, tradeshows
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting, build networks and develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of needs
  • Manage the recruitment process through the Applicant Tracking System by initiating and submitting all required forms and letters
  • Conduct interviews of qualified driver candidates
  • Partner with managers and hiring leaders to obtain a full understanding of recruitment needs
  • Effectively source for viable candidates via multiple recruitment databases, attract top talent through networking and social media, develop talent pipeline for future hiring needs
  • Supports the entire onboarding process: background checks, pre-employment screenings, new hire paperwork, local I-9 & E-Verify, and benefit enrollment assistance
  • Complete background checks including Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), criminal, previous employment, and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) reports
  • Acts as a Human Resource Transaction Partner in DSV Employee Central (HRIS)
  • Resolves HR Helpdesk tickets timely and accurately
  • Performs benefit administration including communicating benefit plans to employees
  • Researches and analyzes; employment laws, human resources policies, and communicates the information effectively to the managers
  • Maintains records and compiles statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, turnover, and performance appraisals
  • Advises managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and harassment prevention, and recommends needed changes
  • Assists all levels of management and evaluates their needs in regard to HR services
  • Effectively establishes, builds and maintains working relationships at all levels to ensure the managers achieve their business goals
  • Support other HR areas as needed including special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned


Educational background / Work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or a related field and 3 years’ experience working in Human Resource field preferred OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • At least three years of hands-on successful, high-volume driver recruitment experience (Class A & B)


Skills & Competencies
Language skills

  • English (reading, writing and verbal)
  • Spanish is a plus


Computer Literacy

  • Experience using Tenstreet
  • Strong proficiency in basic MS Office applications, with Intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience using HRIS systems (SAP Success Factors a plus)
  • Experience using helpdesk ticket systems (Zendesk a plus)


Mathematical Skills

  • Intermediate
