Welcome to Cross-Platform Services

Joining us at our HQ in Hedehusene, you will head the newly established Cross-Platform Services department. Coss-Platform Services provides services to the entire SAP community within DSV and consists of 14 experienced specialists spread across 3 expert teams.

You will be overall responsible for the teams, but each team has a team lead or specialist in charge who reports directly to you and handles the daily operations. The teams operate within their individual area of responsibility and the team members work together from different locations across the world. As a result, a lot of their communication takes place online.

Moreover, you become part of a close-knit SAP community within our global IT organisation which consists of approx. 70 highly skilled IT colleagues who welcome you to an open, informal environment.

Oversee and manage our SAP Services

As Cross-Platform Services Director, you oversee and manage all SAP services across various application areas and systems, setting the strategic direction for the SAP technical areas within DSV. Doing so, you plan, implement, and maintain IT systems across different operating systems as you endeavour to ensure high availability, security, and performance within all things SAP.

Your other core task will of course be to manage these diverse teams, communicating frequently with your employees regardless of where they are based, providing them with clear guidelines and ensuring that they thrive and develop.

Among other things, you will:

• Lead and mentor your teams, ensuring that they support SAP activities effectively
• Manage the budget for IT cross-platform services, prioritizing cost-effectiveness
• Develop and execute a strategic plan for cross-platform IT services aligned with organisational goals
• Evaluate and implement cross-platform solutions for enhanced productivity
• Implement protocols to safeguard cross-platform systems and ensure compliance
• Collaborate with the IT support team to provide efficient cross-platform support for end-users

People manager with a solid understanding of cross-platform technologies

You are known for your strategic mindset and strong leadership abilities. You navigate with ease within a large and diverse organisation and have a good measure of diplomacy and stakeholder management skills. Strong project management and problem-solving abilities are also a must, as is your ability to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels.

Moreover, staying abreast of SAP developments, particularly on the Hana platform (as this is what we currently operate on) is a fundamental aspect of your skill set. Also, we imagine that you have:

• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field (master’s degree preferred)
• Experience in IT management, particularly in cross-platform environments
• Experience with SAP
• Experience with on-premise and cloud applications
• Knowledge of cross-platform technologies, operating systems, and integration solutions
• An in-depth understanding of IT security and compliance
