Move forward as Sales Executive at DSV in Dordrecht
Are you the enterprising and commercially driven sales executive with a passion for transport and logistics? Do you describe yourself as a real 'hunter' with a high favour factor who brings in customers for DSV?
You get it done
As a sales executive you can be found on the road, in the North, West and South region of Netherland. You are on your way to the customer and actively selling the total package that DSV Air & Sea has to offer. In other words, sea freight, air freight and Xpress, but also our value-added services, for example. And that in the provinces around the Dordrecht location; you'll be working on it.
How you do this? You are responsible for maintaining and optimising cooperation with your new customers in your own region. Your previous work experience in a field sales position with other logistics service providers is important. After all, knowledge about air and sea freight is important to talk to your customers on a professional level. You are actively approaching potential accounts in your region on a daily basis and work closely with your colleagues in Dordrecht and Rozenburg. All this to grow together. You achieve this by:
- searching and follow up leads;
- offering tailor-made solutions to new accounts based on account plans with operational managers;
- building and maintaining a network (internal and external);
- offering and following up on offers to potential customers;
- ensuring adequate management information of the market (position) in order to test the account plan.
In your role as a sales executive, you are part of our sales team in Dordrecht and report to the sales and branch manager. You collaborate with inside sales (for quotations), sales support (for appointments and leads), the procurement team, and of course with the sales and branch manager, as well as department managers.

You bring
- at least 2 years of experience in a commercial position (inside or outside sales) in the logistics sector;
- up-to-date knowledge/experience of air or sea freight, Incoterms and international logistics;
- good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing;
- perfect control of MS Office and preferably some experience working within a CRM system. Excel holds few secrets for you, and you can quickly adapt to new systems;
