Hourly Range $16.43 to $20.39 plus benefits and incentive plans.

Essential Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Counts, weighs, and verifies final packaging of products per Job Sheet/Standard Manufacturing Procedure (SMP) specifications.
  1. Seals box containers with tape or staples.
  1. Attaches label to boxes or specified containers according to set procedures.
  1. Compares items packed with customer’s order and other identifying data.
  1. Completes final audit log for each work order to be shipped.
  1. Completes dock audit sheet as requested by customer.
  1. Inputs into Plexus data of items to be shipped.
  1. Operates forklift to load and unload trucks.
  1. Operates banding equipment and stretch wrap machine to secure products for final shipping.
  1. Uses Plexus to print master labels for boxes to be shipped.
  1. Verifies finished goods inventory by cycle counting parts.
  1. Receives and verifies shipment of goods for vendor accuracy.
  1. Completes receiving log of items received.
  1. Inputs into Plexus data of items received.
  1. Receives rejected material.
  1. Weighs, measures, and labels rejected material and verifies for accuracy.
  1. Labels incoming material for stock.
  2. Transports materials received to secure area using forklift.
  1. Retrieves stock from secure area for production.
  1. Braces materials and parts when loaded onto containers for overseas shipments.
  1. Cleans tools, equipment, machines, and work area.
  1. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Knowledge of basic computer and keyboard use. Ability to operate calculators and weighing scales.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to work any continuous or fixed shift schedule including any day of the calendar week as required for operation of the position and mandatory overtime as implemented by management.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
