Position Summary
Summer Intern: Buyer
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Targeted Majors: Supply Chain / Logistics, Business
Class year desired: Junior / Senior
Academic Schedule:(June - August 2025, full-time, 40 hours per week)
Our ITT BIW co-op candidates will have the unique opportunity to work for the industry leader in the design and manufacture of highly engineered connector solutions for the Oil & Gas Industry. Where they will obtain hands on experience in creating purchase orders, schedule product delivery, modify existing purchase orders, and control open orders to assure timely performance from assigned vendors. Our experienced buyers will offer guidance and mentorship for each candidate.
Essential Responsibilities
· Junior Intern Buyer I to shadow Buyer II and Buyer III to learn the roles and work with Planners in the Materials Department to understand overall supply chain management.
· Will create purchase orders to help maintain inventory levels and turns.
· Work closely with production leads to improve Kan Ban card system.
Position Requirements
· Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain / Logistics, Business and in good standing.
· Knowledge of purchasing, inventory management.
· Experience in customer service.
· Knowledge/experience in Microsoft Office.
· Teamwork and problem-solving skills required.
