Job Summary:

As an Asset Servicing Risk- Vice President, you will be at the forefront of managing the risk for complex voluntary corporate action and income related events across all asset classes and markets from event inception to payment. In our risk team, we handle complex queries and issues raised by various teams including Middle office client facing teams, client service and core operational processing teams. We value your experience in managing Asset Servicing Risk, and your ability to present risk issues to senior management to enable considered decision making on large exposure items. Your ability to influence senior stakeholders and promote change across departments is what makes you an essential part of our team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides subject matter expertise based upon a full understanding of technical, domain, and operational aspects of the function.
  • Recommends and implements enhancements and process improvements and may be included in strategic business initiatives.
  • Drives change and firm-wide initiatives and serves as escalation contact for the team for any issues. Mitigates and escalates identified risks and controls.
  • Leads a team of Subject Matter Experts and is able to provide direction and feedback on an ongoing basis.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Extensive Corporate Actions processing experience is a prerequisite for this role
  • Extensive knowledge of the full Asset Servicing product lifecycle
  • Good understanding of Corporate Actions and Income accounting entries
  • A thorough understanding of all the risks associated with the Asset Servicing product
  • Good balance between analytical skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders, across a wide variety of departments
  • Good experience of Investment Banking or Global custody operational areas (Trades, Cash, FX and Reconciliations)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop relationships across the various stakeholders including senior business executives
  • Self-Motivated and able to deliver within tight timeframes and with minimal supervision, whilst working effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Client Service and Middle Office exposure preferred
