Job Description

Do you have tax or accounting background with an understanding of international withholding tax practice and processes? Then you found the right position!

As an Tax Rates Utility Associate, within the Client Tax Operations Utility’s team, your primary responsibility will be to maximize the client experience and comply with tax regulations globally by facilitating the collection of valid client tax documentation, the application of withholding tax and refunds and the submission of regulatory reporting. You will be required to be consistent with compliance and controls, enhanced response to regulatory and market changes and operational excellence in our business processes and technology. You will also need to ensure that the tax rate data held in the Securities Services platform is accurate, through ongoing review and maintenance, partnering with internal tax teams and external vendors.

Job responsibilities

  • Reviews and resolves tax rate discrepancies
  • Partners with Custody Tax Product, Corporate Tax and external vendors globally to ensure the Securities Services tax rate platform is maintained with accurate tax rate data
  • Works with and contributes to internal Operational Working Groups
  • Continues regular review operational tax processes to identify areas for enhancement
  • Identifies tax risks and solution resolution
  • Identifies opportunities for Product expansion
  • Owns specific MIS with responsibility for reporting to the management team
