At J.P. Morgan ‘Code for Good’ Hackathon, we bring coders, technologists and non-profit organizations together to solve real-world problems.

You will experience firsthand how we use technology to inspire change, foster inclusion and make a difference in our communities. Work alongside our tech experts, meet our recruiting teams and experience what it’s like to work as a Software Engineer at J.P. Morgan.

Code For Good Hong Kong Hackathon Event Date: Friday, 18 October, 2024.

Over the course of the Hackathon, you and your team will:
- Develop a technology solution for a leading social good organization.
- Get to work side by side with our expert J.P. Morgan Chase technologists
- Be encouraged to come up with cutting-edge ideas that could make a difference for the people who need it most
- Coders will be attending the event in-person and will require a personal laptop/desktop to participate. Further details and instructions will be provided to successful applicants

Ahead of the Hackathon, we will run a bootcamp, share helpful resources, and host Q&A sessions to help you settle into a collaborative environment and prepare for the main Hackathon event. The Bootcamp is specially designed to introduce you to key tools and platforms that will help you achieve a successful hack during the event, especially if you are new to the hackathon space.

Who are we looking for:
- Students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with expected graduation of September 2025 to July 2026
- Available for full time internship from June – August 2025
- Foundational knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Javascript, Java, C++, C#), databases, data structures and algorithms
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Exceptional problem-solving ability
- Relevant internship experience and leadership in school or community organization

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Computer Science and/or Engineering majors are preferred while other majors may be considered
