KPMG is currently seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Engineer to join our Tax Ignition practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with both software engineers and program managers to understand project features, review technical designs, and implement automated test tools that help deliver quality features with efficiency
  • Work to understand application usage models and develop test plans and test cases that approximate real-world environments and scenarios
  • Drive quality and security by design; work with tax domain experts and engineering staff to design, create, and execute automated tests and recommend enhancements
  • Recognize software internals, debug code, automate repetitive tasks, and implement new tools and frameworks needed to streamline our quality process with shift left approach and quality by design mindset
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and set the standards for testing platforms, tools, and frameworks
  • Troubleshoot performance issues; identify and recommend design improvements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent hands on experience developing, testing, performance tuning of large scale systems built with C#, .NET, Javascript frameworks, SQL Server, scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and more
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in computer science or a related field is preferred
  • Solid experience with Selenium, JMeter, VSTS or any other automation and performance testing tools is required
  • Experience with agile engineering practices and tooling including CI/CD utilizing technologies such as Azure DevOps, Team City, Octopus, GitHub Actions is required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus
  • Proven track record with monitoring, profiling, diagnostic tools and code quality tools for DAST and SAST will be a plus
