Overview

The Seattle, WA office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to become part of our national Conflicts Department. The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to, reviewing potential conflict hits and eliminating obvious non-conflict hits upon search completion. Following this, the analyst will forward the pared-down search results to the requesting attorney/team and Conflicts Attorney for their review. Analyst will also monitor outstanding conflicts searches and assist with the proper filing of completed and closed searches.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

  • Conduct conflict checks for Attorneys, Secretaries, Paralegals and Administration firm-wide
  • Review potential conflict hits and eliminate obvious non-conflict hits
  • Forward the reviewed and distilled search results to the requesting attorney and Conflicts Attorney for their review
  • Monitor outstanding conflict searches and assist with the proper filing of completed and closed searches
  • Research companies to determine subsidiary/parent and other relationships for conflicts purposes
  • Provide general information and answer questions from attorneys and staff regarding the conflicts process
  • Assist with conflicts database maintenance in order to provide consistent and accurate reporting
  • Ability to work within a team-oriented environment
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year of conflicts experience in a law office environment, preferred
