The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Senior Associate in Target Markets Project Support at New York Life to play an important role within the Target Markets team. You will work closely with the Target Prospecting Lead to support the development and delivery of enhancements to tools, processes, and systems used by our national field force of financial professionals. Additionally, you will engage in a broad spectrum of strategic projects requiring skills in project management, research, analysis, and reporting. Your contributions will be key to amplifying the reach and impact of our financial professionals, positioning them to build deep, trusted relationships within their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide top-tier project and operational support within the Target Markets area, focusing on meticulous monitoring of details and reporting of project plans, milestones, and deliverables. Ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans.
  • Support strategic planning and decision-making by preparing detailed project briefs and engaging in comprehensive research and analysis.
  • Communicate proactively with relevant stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing implementation challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively with the project team to fulfill tasks and implement project plans.
  • Maintain and organize documentation and records, ensuring project delivery adheres to agreed plans and methodologies.
  • Utilize the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) framework to help set ambitious and measurable goals, align the team to work towards, and track progress toward desired outcomes. This will involve contributing to establishment of specific objectives and defining key results to measure the success of projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or commensurate work experience, including 3-5 years in cross-functional capacity.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, embracing challenges with perseverance and a strong desire to learn.
  • Detail-oriented project management skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to drive projects forward and adapt.
  • Strong communicator, with the ability to influence in collaborative settings without direct authority.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and written communication skills.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Agency structures is beneficial.

Salary range: $90,000 - $135,000
