About the Opportunity

The Co-op Data Associate will support Undergraduate and Graduate Co-op Coordinators to ensure effective operation of the co-op program in data management and reporting. The Co-Op Data Associate will work closely with the Data Analytics team to ensure that data collected is maintained in a way that will ensure accurate and relevant analysis.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required. 2 - 5 years professional experience in a higher education, human resources, or related industry preferred. Skills |A high level of proficiency with technology, along with verbal and written communication skills, are expected. Candidate should be comfortable with and have a desire to learn new technology |Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills specifically Excel- Ability to demonstrate charts, graph, Pivot table, and Vlookup competence |Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Conduct advanced data reporting to evaluate student job placements, employer hiring trends, event feedback, annual Coordinator’s merit review report etc.

  • Create data collection forms and summarize data sets through Qualtrics, NUworks, SharePoint, Navigate, Microsoft Excel, and other applications. Coordinate efforts to uphold the completeness and integrity of data in various co-op systems; serve as liaison with central co-op technology team.

  • Provide summary co-op and fulltime placement information upon request

  • Under direction of co-op management, assist with “intent to co-op” process to include communication to relevant groups, pulling eligibility list, assigning coordinators to first time seekers, maintaining data integrity of the search term SharePoint site and NuWorks.

Data and Operations Support

  • Compile and analyze data/information, and develop advanced data reports to evaluate student hiring, co-op events, etc.; create forms and summarize data sets through Google Apps, Microsoft Excel, Tableau and other applications.

  • Coordinate efforts to uphold the completeness and integrity of data in various co-op systems; serve as liaison with central co-op technology team. Develop and administer surveys, update/manage content on co-op websites.

  • Manage work-study students; effectively delegate projects and ensure completion to meet deadlines.

  • Provide general administrative support to the Directors of Co-op and Assistant Directors as needed, including special projects.

  • Create employer lists for site visits.

Student & Employer Support

  • Assist with preparation of co-op class materials; provide support

for Canvas course administration and course enrollment

activities and grading.

  • Review employer evaluations and student self-assessments of the student co-op work experience, guided inquiries/reflections.; send reminders to complete if needed.

  • Conduct industry research on companies and opportunities that

align with the college’s job development efforts.

  • Develop communication materials for students and employers
