About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY:

The Financial Analyst conducts financial analyses, develops and refines business models, and assists with preparing annual, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting data for senior leadership. The Financial Analyst also assists with audits and analyzing existing processes to improve workflow and work efficiencies.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Conduct regular financial analysis and modeling to support regular business functions, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and decision-making processes.
    • Monitor and analyze key financial indicators such as revenue, expense, and cash flow to identify trends and variances.
    • Budget analysis through P/L creations & analyzing.
    • Articulating financials while working with pivot tables and BI functionality.
    • Data Sourcing and consolidating financial data.
    • Prepare and present financial reports and presentations to senior management, department heads, and other stakeholders.
    • Assist unit leaders with actively managing their area in terms of revenue generation and tracking current expenditures.
    • Analyze financial and payroll discrepancies to ensure timely corrections.
    • Collaborate with colleges and other departments within the organization, including enrollment, marketing, and learner services to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives
    • Lead the continued development and refinement of business models.
    • Assist with the development and creation of annual, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting data for senior leadership.
    • Gather, prepare, and analyze financial reports, develop, and maintain KPI’s.
    • Advanced knowledge of Financial Concepts, Analyzing and Modeling
    • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support the institute’s business operations.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform financial strategies

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
    • Effective analytical, problem solving, decision-making, and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills to communicate to audiences at all levels of the organization, translating for both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Ability to produce and deliver succinct, compelling materials.
    • Proficiency in Excel and ability to learn custom ERP systems. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
    • Knowledge and skills are normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a business or finance discipline and at least two to four years' experience in a financial analysis role. Knowledge of a higher educational environment is preferred.
