Overall Function

Frequent interaction with the Firm's Senior Advisors and leadership, the Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for quarterbacking client relationships with the firm's top clients. This position will have direct responsibility for delivering world class client experience and advancing the Firm's strategic plan for revenue growth, client retention, and client acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in client meetings alongside the Firm's Senior Advisors for financial plan development and presentation as well as documentation of meeting notes and follow-up
  • Dictation of meeting notes, processing correspondence, maintaining client case files, and filing performance reports, account forms, and other advisory paperwork
  • Work alongside planning team to help prepare and finalize comprehensive financial plans and recommendations for delivery to clients and prospects
  • Prepare cases for review: including allocation and investment adjustments, rebalancing accounts, and running performance reports in Envestnet, Morningstar, NMCIR, etc.
  • Oversee and provide service to clients including technical explanations of investment plans, advisory products, and performance
  • Explain value proposition statement to existing clients and prospects
  • Publicly represent the Firm's strategic brand
  • Maintain knowledge of and ability to apply compliance standards

Requirements

  • 5-years of industry experience in financial planning
  • Series 6 & 63 registrations (or Series 7 for certain products) required
  • Life, Accident, & Health insurance licenses required
  • CFP designation preferred but not required
  • History of clean compliance record
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients
  • Strong customer focus, excellent social skills, and ability to work well with a team
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and consistent follow through
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently
  • Ability to proactively manage multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely and quality manner
  • Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role and team
