Summary:

Help establish and continuously improve processes and procedures to deliver a successful and well-organized training experience for participants and trainers. The training coordinator will create and manage a master calendar of learning events for the department, schedule and create pre/post training communications, execute all training logistics, support the technology onboarding of new hires, administer all aspects of eLearning through our LMS (Workday Learning), and help update training materials.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execute a smooth scheduling, communication, and tracking process for all learning events.
  • Own and keep current the learning and development internal website.
  • Manage the registration process for both live learning events and eLearning.
  • Serve as the LMS (Workday Learning) administrator for the Department. Ensure courses are effectively uploaded, participants are properly enrolled, and reports are run for managers.
  • Coordinate the technology onboarding process with IT team and support new employees with system checks.
  • Support the set-up and production of virtual learning events in Zoom.
  • Set-up participant communication channels (Slack) and distribution lists and send daily emails to keep participants informed of next steps, deadlines and expectations.
  • Create and maintain participant information, including user IDs, contact information, assessment results, training completed, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative or training-related experience
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Technology savvy and ability to learn and explore new technology solutions to improve processes.
  • Ability to flex to the situation and respond quickly to last minute changes
  • Ability to problem solve and think independently and strategically
  • Responds well to feedback, seeks to continuously improve
  • Is excessively organized
  • Is a frequent and great communicator
  • Has experience coordinating complex events or projects with many moving parts
  • Has excellent attention to detail
  • Familiar with Zoom, or similar virtual classroom functionality

Pay Range - Start:

$23.25

Pay Range - End:

$34.87

Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
